Born to these waters
Mohamed was born in Shela, a village on Lamu Island where the dhows outnumber the cars and the ocean is the front yard. He grew up on this water — first casting from the shallows, then learning the reefs, currents and seasons that make the Lamu Archipelago one of the finest fishing grounds on the coast.
Today he's an experienced deep sea captain who reads the ocean like few others can. He knows where the tuna run, where the GTs hunt the reef edges, and where the billfish appear when the season turns. Above all, he loves sharing it — whether you're a seasoned angler or picking up a rod for the first time.
Fishing in Lamu is his invitation to experience the sea the way his family always has: wild, generous, and timeless.
